Welcome to Cowtown Brush Up web site. Cowtown Brush up (CTBU) is truly a community project, bringing together private businesses, civic organizations, the City of Fort Worth, and individual volunteers to spruce up houses owned by low-income families, elderly and persons with disabilities. In 2008 enthusiastic and concerned volunteers painted 150 houses, planted trees and removed graffiti. The project offers a unique opportunity to create an emotional and visual impact on our central city neighborhoods, promotes neighborhood stability, creates pride in ownership, and stimulates a sense of community among all of the citizens of Fort Worth.
- Help low-income families, particularly the elderly and persons with disabilities, maintain their homes
- Promote neighborhood stability by improving the visual image of central city neighborhoods
